Land Anatomies by Victoria Kiff

March 15th - April 21st 2024

Rogue Gallery is delighted to present another solo exhibition of the work of the wonderful artist Victoria Kiff continuing with her motif of 'body as landscape'

The exhibition, ‘Land Anatomies’, comprises oil paintings, mixed media works, drawings and original prints, all of which are linked to the relationship between the human form and the landscape.

Within the artwork, body and landscape can be conceived as related special metaphors.

They are intricate in detail, with a variation of techniques that form a close yet tenuous connection. Through portraiture, abstract mark making, and the surface textures, the paintings reference the observations and memories of a place and the passing of time.

Body art and art that explores the human form seems to fall under the category of art as theatre or experience, this collection is more reflective, as in a half-written story through perception, the conjunction of shapes, light and direction.

The objective of ‘Land Anatomies’ is to forge a visioned parallel between the human psyche and the anatomy of natural form"
