Further Reflections by Kevin Atherton

Kevin Atherton will show his unique work at the gallery until June 16th

The result of a year-long collaboration between the artist and the gallery coming to fruition - the journey began almost forty years ago when the Brixton-born Ray Gange, owner of Rogue Gallery randomly came across the impressive and surprising ’Platforms Piece’ sculptures at Brixton Railway Station.

In the mid-late 90’s paths abstractly collided again, this time at Chelsea College of Art where Kevin was Head of Alternative Media and Ray was studying sculpture (although due to the arcane factional inter-department college politics they were to have no actual interaction during this period).

It was in the late spring of 2023 when Kevin was meeting with another artist at Rogue Gallery and a conversation took place which linked these events together and has led to this exhibition which, while not a retrospective, takes the viewer on a journey through the timeline of Kevin’s impressive and varied artistic career
